Community Action on Latin America (CALA) is a Madison, Wisconsin-based student and community organization, founded in the early 1970s as a group committed to pursuing issues of social justice and U.S. accountability in Latin American affairs. CALA is funded in part by Community Shares of Wisconsin.

Con Safos is located just South of the
Beltine off
Come join us for a community
gathering with the musicians and performing Latin American nueva
trova, nueva cancion and bolero songs. The stage is open to all who
would like to share their art.
Last month’s Peña featured
Nueva Canción, Son Mudanza, Grace Epicospal’s Latin Music Group, Sonidos
Suaves and poetry by Rosalilia Mendoza. Over 70 people attended!
Con Safos will be open for dinner for
those wishing to purchase food or drinks, however all are welcome and it
isn’t necessary to buy anything.
Our next Peña will be held on Friday, September 12, from 5-8pm, in Centro Hispano. Stay tuned for more details!
